When you’re looking for a tank that is going to outperform the competition every time, you’re on the hunt for the Uwell D1 Sub Ohm Tank! This tank is what vapers’ dreams are made of and with the leak-proof design being combined with a condensation protective design, this is some serious technology being incorporated in this tank! The Uwell D1 Sub Ohm Tank is not just a tank, but rather a device that brings together a double-glass top airflow system, a 4mL liquid reservoir with threaded top-fill that is unstoppable, and top-loaded D1 Coil Technology. With all of these features it’s hard to say no to the Uwell D1 Sub Ohm Tank.
The chassis on this thing is 247mm in diameter (measured at the base) and the device incorporates a cupped-inspired design as well as condensation protection and anti-leaking properties. The anti-condensation is being used through the base of the device, allowing for some backpressure relief. This makes it so the device is not likely to flood. This device also has a super innovational airflow delivery system that is going to blow your mind with three hidden airslots and a double-glass airflow combined. These adjustable airslots are located at the top cap and they let the air flow through them. The air shoots down between the dual glass tubes and this forms a channel that goes directly to the atomizer base, making it so the vapor production of this device is nothing short of LEGENDARY! With this comes flavor preservation and perhaps even enhancement. The deep fill ports on the tank allow it to hold as much as 4mL of e-liquid as well.
There is a new coil family being used in this device as well, allowing optimum performance like you’ve never seen. Utilizing the premade coils makes some serious improvements upon vapor and with this you’re going to be able to change your coils out without having to empty the e-liquid out of the tank. Simply unscrew the condensate base holder to give you direct access to the atomizer core. This device is placing important on mid-level wattage output and maintaining the wattage range that you expect from Uwell products. Using a 0.25ohm SS316 Parallel Coil will allow you to use this device from 50 to 80 watts while using the 0.5ohm coil allows 40 to 60 watts. With the 0.8ohm Kanthal Parallel Coil, you’ll be able to use the tank from 35 to 55 watts. Using a Uwell Crown D1 Sub Ohm Tank is going to bring you to the peak of vaporizing performance and once you get there, you’ll wonder how you enjoyed vaping at any other level!

Uwell D1 Sub Ohm Tank
Overall Score From 54 Users4.7 / 5
love the smooth draw and the great flavor. this is one of the best subtanks out there.
I've been vaping since 2006. My shelves look like I'm some kind of maniacal youtube vape celebrity.
This tank almost slipped under my radar and I'm glad it didn't. It's hands down the best tank I've ever had the pleasure of using.
Not once have I had to reach for a napkin or wipe ejuice on my jeans. The thing simply will not leak. The top fill is perfect. The .25 coils seem as accurate as titanium in temp control. The flavor is out of this world, easily comparable if not slightly better than a significant portion of my RDAs.
The vapor is very dense and just warm enough to not seem cold. I'm still on the first coil 3 weeks in and I've vaped most of the way through a 240ml bottle of strawberry custard.
I bought my first one from another site and within a week bought 5 more and some .25 coils from this site.
Seriously, how the heck are these so good at this price? Makes me regret a lot of purchases lol.
This is a great tank and very easy to change coils and the coils seem to last a lot longer and will not leak when you leave it in a bag!
For the price I have purchased 6 of these so far and am very happy with my purchase and the fast shipping!
This is the best Crown tank yet. No leaking, good vapor production and flavor. This is why I have 2 of them.
My new favorite tank. I bought this strictly on price not expecting much but OMG! This is the most satisfying vape I've had in ages. It's just so smooth and the flavor is top notch. I bought another one I liked it so much. The price is unbelievable also. Buy it asap.
This tank was recommended to me by a good friend, the same one that gave me my first vape mod (fuchai 213). This tank has that perfect amount of restrictive airflow so you can either mouth to lung starting out or open it all the way up with the spare metal outter piece for full on lung hits. It helped me very much in the beginning and i still use it sometimes because it has awesome flavor. I prefer the .25 coils and my girl uses the .5 in hers. She also started with this tank and likes it better than my baby beast. For 15 bucks you can't beat it, well spent $ imho.
Uwell Crown D1 Sub Ohm Tank does not leak! I have moved almost entirely to this tank as my every-day unit. It is designed to reduce coil saturation and juice flow-back. It's structure is engineered to withstand a drop from 4 feet onto pavement - This was initially verified by accident - but I reenacted the drop and sure enough - the tank and the mod survived. I've used four Uwell Crown tanks and this is by far the best yet.
The D1 is by far the best tank I've owned. This bad boy never leaks, not a single drop. I'm currently rotating between the uwell se-1, baby beast, big baby beast and the D1. Flavor is very good but just barely second to the baby beast. Build quality of the tank feels strong, rugged and substantial. Screwing it onto my minikin v2 has this weird resemblance to attaching a silencer to a pistol. All the opinions of the air flow being restricted are in my opinion a bit of a stretch. Fully open airflow feels just right for 40-70 watts. Coils are spectacular and by far the best I've ever used. Go with the 0.25. I'm deducting one star because when I first received the tank in the mail, the spare glasses where broken in the sealed packaging. Ecig.com would not replace the broken extra glasses because I couldn't take a picture of the damages the day after. Maybe because I cleaned up the broken glass off my hand and bed the second it poured out of the D1 tin packaging. Anyways great tank at a great price but poor customer service from ecig.com.
P.S. the tank does not come with the spare metal outer cover. Lameee
I absolutely love this tank and especially like the way it looks. I would definitely recommend this tank.
It is a tie between my Brit Beast which uses the baby beast smok coils and this the D1. The pros of the d1 set up are the ejuice capacity 4ml vs the 3ml of the brit beast. in addition, the coils for the d1 consume far less juice without compromising flavor. The flavor for both the d1 and baby beast coils is excellent but the baby beast coils are juice hogs so between the smaller size and high juice consumption the baby beast needs much more frequent refills. Another plus for the d1 over BB is that it runs well right down to the last drop where the BB runs best with a full tank so refilling at half tank is best to avoid dry hits.
The cons for the d1 tank over BB is the large tank size. for a mid wattage tank, its huge and looks disproportionate in a lot of the 80 W and under mods. For its size you'd expect at least 6ml capacity however it is conservative in terms of consumption of juice so it is likely comparable to a 6ml capacity in terms of time between refills. Vapor production is slightly less than the BB but still excellent. Overall, a far superior tank in its construction and juice consumption. The coils last much longer (2-3 weeks or more) and give more consistent flavor and vapor through out its lifespan. Comparing the 0.5 ohm d1 and the 0.4 ohm Baby Beast coils, the d1 wins hands down as it is still vaping great after 2 weeks for me where the baby beast is burnt out after 3 days. a final comparison that sets the d1 far, Far above the babybeast is the overall cost. The Uwell d1 coils last 5x longer, cost half as much and use a fraction of the juice (without flavor or vapor compromise). If you are looking at the smok tfv8 or the Uwell (both considered superior tanks/coils) The Uwell d1 is definitely the way to go. Not only is the initial investment less for the d1 tank/coils but the money saved in juice and coils over time is significant. I feel a twinge of guilt because up until now I was a loyal Smok fan. I still love the tfv8 but now I love this one a little more and thrilled to find a SubOhm tank that has the flavor and vapor I love without burning a hole in my wallet.
So far, so good, flows good, tastes great. It would be great if it held a little more juice, and hopefully the coils last a bit.
I have had the D1 tank for a couple of months now, and i can without a doubt say that this is the BEST tank ive ever used, and i have been vaping for over 3 years, this tank replaced my tfv8 which i thought i would never replace. This tank does not leak whatsoever and produces great clouds and flavor at 100% VG juice. I am a very picky vapor and i very rarely give anything 5 stars, DO NOT pass up this tank you will be 100% satisfied, just know before you buy this tank it only holds 4 ML, so keep that in mind when purchasing, the outter glass gets foggy, but is remedied by using the metal casing instead that comes with the tank, so replace that outter glass when you get it
I dont know why everyone is Bitching about Crown2 And Rafaele Tanks Leaking,If you pay attention and Fill the tank properly and Clean it on regular basis you will never find a leak Period...I have yet to try this tank but im sure its as good as any Uwel Product...Rafaele is by far the best out of the bunch with tons of airflow and NOT leaking
Wow awesome vape great taste no juice back flow. Uwell knows what they are doing. I own all of their tanks and this is the best yet.
Ok, so this is the first review i have ever done on any tank. I want to let anyone who is considering this tank to know that it does come with the metal ring to replace the outer glass section. Also i vape flavorless juice at 100% VG, this thing wicks no problem! Even with flavorless the difference between this tank and the OG crown is night and day. The vape out of this tank is very smooth, it does whistle slightly with the metal ring. airflow is not much different. Im using the .5 coils in wattage or temp and both are great! Hands down a great tank! It is slightly shorter than an OG crown as well.
I was excited about the tank but I seem to be having the same issue with all my Crown tanks and now the D1. It's like it's a vacuum issue. I'm no spring chicken, either. I have replaced the o-rings, made sure everything wasn't too tight, or loose. I changed from 70/30 to max VG juice. This tank is built well. I don't like the outer glass because it gets fogged up and you can't see the fluid level.
Great tasteing tank , does not leak at all , coils last a long time.Run mine at 60 to 70 watts does great..The downside is outer glass will fog up and have to clean and it only holds 4ml..Overall ther is not a tank that has better taste than this one.I have a smoke tfv8 and i like it better than this tank by far..I promise you can not go wrong with this tank or cant go wrong with any transactions from ecig..I appreciate you..try the drip co. cake and frappberry it is awsome also..Take this to heart becase i never ever leave comments or feedback on things , this is how much i like all..Hope this helps and great luck in your purchases from ecig..
I waited till after the pass 2 tanks went on by (Rafale and the Crown II) because of the coil problems they were having, but I do have the Crown V1 and have always loved this tank, but I compare the D1 on the level of the original Crown. Such a smmoth vapor and quite a bit of vapor that you get out of the tank. I know people bitch about the outer sleeve but they had to have some idea why it was used, Mine came with the steel outer decorate metal sleeve, but I haven't used mine because where would the condensation go if it was on the tank ?? I don't really know, But I liked mine so much that I ordered a second one I'm completely satisfied with the both of mine and as always have such a smooth dealing with Ecig.com and the prices can't be beat when I compare the prices. Thanks Ecig.com !!
The Crown D1 is a great tank - construction certainly keeps the e-liquid in the tank and not on my fingers or mod! Juice cup and "air chimney" are effective mechanisms even though they seem to be over engineered. I like the consistency of flavor and clouds from tank to tank. A few e-liquids - heavy in the sugar department - do crackle and spit - but it's the juice not the tank per se. Tank handles both Watts and TC exceptionally well - another big plus for me. The D1 revives my trust in Crown after the disasters of their first two tank entries that leaked on their very first vape.
Long lasting coil , Made very well ! ,its in my rotation ..would like to find replacement coils .. great Quality Tank ! Never never leaks !!
I'm glad I let the past 2 tanks that Uwell made the Rafale and the Crown 2 just go on by because of the reviews I saw about the coils life, but so glad I bought this tank because of the great coils and no leaking at all from the tank. One thing to make sure you don't do is try and overfill it, if you do you will get a mouthful of just juice !! If I happen to do that I go to the trash can and shake it upside down for just a few seconds and all is good after that. The 4 ml capacity I wonder about since it seems I'm refilling it too much, but it may just be a juice hog to some extent, no big deal though. I ordered 2 of them and the second one seemed like the top cap threads were not completely finished. It was gurgling and I was getting juice in my mouth and finally saw that the top cap wasn't scewing down all of the way. But after messing with closing it as tight as I could get it, the problem as stopped and it does close completely shut now. I know a lot of people bitch about the outside glass being useless but there was some reason they made it that way, I just vape the hell out of it and go on with life. Ecig.com is the greatest place for prices in the Vaping World !! Thank you all !!
This tank is the smoothest most flavorful tank on the market and NEVER ever leaks a drop.
You MUST make sure all four O rings are intact or there will be condensation issues.
They are transparent and difficult to see but there is two for the smaller inner glass tank and two for the outer glass tank section.
Sometimes they stick to each glass end and sometimes they stay put in the notches where each glass tank section seats itself.
Even if you miss one of them you are screwed , they are a nightmare to spot unless your vision is razor sharp .
If the O rings are all there & seated properly the tank is completely problem free , no condensation and no leaks.
On another note , you got to be one of the dumbest bastards on the planet to diss this tank lol.
Work on developing a clue will you please, ridiculous.
Great tank! Great coils! Awesome vape! Uwell has redeemed themselves and bounced back nicely from releasing the crown 2 and it's coils. Thanks Ecig.com for the amazing prices you have on your products!
Great airflow. No dripping/leaks. Good flavor. Slightly heavy but solid. I may buy another !! As always great service from ecig.com.
Bought as a backup tank. It has become my main. Flavor for days!! I took the outer glass out like I saw a reviewer do, glad I did. More airflow and flavor.
Like the tank. The machining on the top is a little rough, not what I expected from Uwell. Good flavor.
It's huge! It fits ok on a big mod. Good flavor and clouds. Coils don't seem to last as long as other reviews said they do. Coils are actually easy to clean. Does NOT leak. Not bad, wish it were a little small and the tank a little bigger. Otherwise its nice looking.
So I recently bought a second one of these and I have to say that I was pleasantly shocked when the second one came with a metal piece (with larger parallelogram holes) to replace the outer glass.
My first one I had removed the outer glass because I hated the draw and liked it much better without it. Yeah it made the tank look stupid, but a much more airy vape. But of course doing this you lose all functionality of the top air control (I'm mostly using wide open anyhow).
I prefer the .25 coils, right at 70 watts (Sigelei 213), and with my own e-juice around 25/75 pg/vg. I get decent clouds and the flavor is pretty fantastic.
I've put away my crown v1 and really hated the Rafale's filling port.
Another thing to be aware of if you purchase is to clean out the cup every other day or so. If you don't this thing will spit hot fiery juice snot and gurglegrowl at you because the air has to pass through it. And it gets worse the older the coil. But I've seen up to 3 weeks on one coil, so that's a plus.
At this price, $15/16, I still feel it's a steal. Probably still buy it around $22.
So far this is literally the BEST tank I have ever owned. I have not changed to coil yet but so far I love it. Every single tank I have ever owned leaks. This is the first tank that does not. Now I noticed a few things that I am going to point out about this tank.
1. close the air flow when you fill up.
2. fill the tank up to the top of the tank, not to the top of the glass.
3. This is the most important one. Took me a couple of annoying days to realize this one. When you fill the tank and it spits juice up when you are vaping, that means the condensation has built up at the bottom. Its easy to fix. Take off your tank, open the bottom, empty the bottom, wipe it out with a paper towel and your ready to go again. I have noticed it takes 3-4 tanks before you have to do it. Its not juice its just condensation. Don't reuse it.
The only thing so far that I don't really like is that the outside glass is always fogged up. You get use to it though. I am sure a little window defogger will do the trick but I personally have not tried that yet.
I love this tank. Uwell hasn't made a tank I didnt like. The flavor is quite good and I get nothing buy thick dense clouds of vapor. The only thing I didn't like was the liquid capacity. I still would recommend trying this tank to everyone.
I gave it 4 stars because the top doesn't thread as easily as the original Crown. I wish it held more juice as it is a guzzler. But, the flavor is amazing and the coils last.
Well about time, Uwell Crown has finally knocked it out of the PARK. I really like this tank, it is very well built and the coil is UNBELIEVABLE. The only issue I have is the double glass which I feel is not needed. I don't use the outer glass it's a waste. Other than that it's an awesome TANK.
There is nothing i like about the D1 should be called the F1 cuz it sucks. Its huge but the amount of ejuice is it can hold is small. When it fires it POPS LOUD with spit back. The flavor is not fantastic and the clouds not thick. The only thing its good for is scareing the s#!t outta the someone when they try n hit it...
Excellant flavor, excellant air flow, no leaks. Coils are lasting a **really** ***long*** time too. What's not to like?
Ive using the d 1 for about 2 weeks now. Love the vaper production,And it has good flavor also. When i got mine all glass was broken inside the tin it came in. I know it was not ecigs fault it must have been a packing thing. You guys do the best job of shipping and very fast . Love ordering from here. Thx
I have bought all three colors. At $15 ecig is practically giving these tanks away. This tank does NOT leak, ever. The coils Las forever. I vape really sweet, Max VG juice at 70 plus watts. I have been using the same .25 coil that the tank came with for 3 weeks with absolutely no dry or burnt hits. The only concern is have is like another reviewer mentioned, the double glass that is meant to catch condensation works well, but that makes it almost impossible to see how much juice is left in the tank. By the way there is no break in Tim on these coils like the crown v1 and v2 coils. Buy it you will love it.
The price on ecig is $15.95! That is the best deal anywhere for this great tank!
Since I purchased my 2nd Uwell D1 sub ohm tank this is my 2nd review of the Uwell D1 tank. Some innovative research and development went into the design of this tank, with the afc at the top, double walled glass tube and the cup designed to capture any condensation it will absolutely not leak ever! However I've a few issues with it that is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 this time. First con is the con-densation buildup inside of the outer glass making it very difficult, if not impossible depending on how much light, to see how much e-liquid is left in the tank. Secondly, I prefer using temp control with Ni-200 coils and there's no nickel replacement coils for the D1. I'd be happy if Uwell made Ni-200 coils for the D1 sub tank. Otherwise I'm very pleased this little tank's performance. It's a uniquely designed product, making Uwell a contender with some of the best vaping products available.
I have 5 or 6 Crown V1 tanks. I can state for certain Crown makes quality vape products. The D1 exceeds my expectations from Uwell. In stock form its impossible for this tank to leak. As mentioned it holds 4ml of liquids. Mine came with a nice open cnc sleeve to replace the outer glass, if you want more airflow. It took half a tank to break in the .25 coil. Using this on a eVic VTC mini in TC with 80vg/20pg juice. Its not often my ejuice tastes as good as it smells. With the D1...it does.
$14.95 for the SS version, plus bought a extra set of coils. Absolutely thrilled with my purchase from this outstanding vendor!
I've had 6 popular sub-ohm tanks in the last 5 months, and this is far and away the best tank I've ever owned in 4 years of daily vaping. It can even handle max VG juice well if you don't overdo it on the chain vaping, and even if you do, it holds up much better than the Crown 2, which goes through coils in only a couple of days with my mixture. I may have to buy a backup and stock up on coils in case they ever stop making it. Juice consumption is down significantly compared to the Crown 2 as well, which saves quite a bit of money in the long run. If you don't need massive clouds, this is your tank!
I'm inconclusive on this tank. The .5 coil was too harsh for my taste, but the .2 was smooth. Its a huge tank with a lot of metal. Not built as well as the original crown. Only takes 1 turn to remove the top so not many threads there. It does hold 4 ml if you fill it past the glass. Would have rather seen a larger capacity tank with out the inner tank. The outer tank is useless to a meaningful legit function. Waste of space and way over thought. Ecig can't be beat though!
Impressed with this tank.. my first ever tank was the crown 1.. im glad i grabbed this one when it was on sale for pre-order.. now it's selling for $50-$51 on ecig?? I rmbr seeing this on sale for $15.95 on ecig.. why so expensive now??
No leaks and great flavor, quick shipping!
I've been using the Uwell Crown, liked it very much but the coils don't last very long and I get a lot of hits that tasted too dry. The Crown 2 has never worked well for me, the main drawback was too little vapor. I should mention that I always use the Ni200 0.15Ω coils on the original Crown and SS316 0.25Ω on the Crown 2 in temp control mode.
However after using the D1 sub ohm tank with 0.25Ω coils in wattage mode (70-80 watts) I've not had any issues with dry hits or leaking, only very flavorful clouds each and every time I take a draw from this fantastic little tank! The design of this tank makes it virtually impossible for it to ever leak! It was a bit high priced at $51.00 but the machining is excellent, smooth edges on the threads. You truly get your money's worth with this one. The only drawback is with the double wall glass tank, it gets cloudy making it very difficult to see how much e-liquid is left. I would recommend this Uwell D1 to anyone, from the beginner to veteran vapers looking for a reliable, unique and well designed sub ohm tank. I'll be buying another one soon.
This tank is the best tank on the market, period . I have tried them all but this one is a cut above on every level .
It is by far the smoothest tank i have ever vaped , you will be blown away once you experience it , it's incredible.
The flavor is as good as i have ever experienced and it never leaks .
I have the original Crown & the Crown II but this one is better, definitely better than the Original Crown.
The Crown II is one of the best tanks you will ever vape but idiots like to dis it based on whether they get dud coils or not .
If you didn't pick up the D1 when it was on sale for $15.95 you made a HUGE mistake.
I have tried dollop many tanks and uwell crown is my go to and after I learned to open the cotton holes the crown 2 is a beast now I have the d1 and have put up all the others thanks uwell
This tank is the best for flavor I've found! It's pretty awesome! If I were to add an improvement it would be to increase the tank capacity. You do need to refill it pretty often but I still love it! I've been a faithful Aspire user until now. I've been using it the majority of the time for the last 2 weeks and I'm still on the same coil. Well done Uwell!
The D1 has solved any leaking issues that were occasional in the Crown 1 and frequent with the Crown 2. It provides flavor that is even better than either tank. The coils last as long or longer than the Crowns. After the Rafale's lukewarm reception and the coil issues that the Crown 2 had until the third bite at the apple, it appears Uwell has finally created a tank that lives up to the reputation of their first offering, and even tops it in several categories. Thanks to Ecig.com for offering it at such an unbelievably low price, too!
Waiting on Uwell to offer the RBA for this tank as that is why so many buy it , love the RBA options for the original Crown & Crown II (uses Rafale RBA) so this should be no different .
Tank works great as expected.
Love this tank!! Thank you Adam for all your help!!
If you have not picked up one yet you are going to regret it - Leak Free - who can ask for more and the price was the lowest around, and they have them for 50% off, I got me another one. ECIG is the best price around , and the only place I buy now!
Thanks to All At ECIG,
I already own one of these and I can tell you they work great, the filters are outstanding. I have a crown 1 and was disappointed with the crown 2, but they have made up for it with the D1. Well machined, clean, filters last forever. I have to buy another at this price. It's a big atty for a big mod, and in regards to the review above saying it only holds 2 1/2 mls, it holds four. Uwell definitely put some thought into this one.
Great product! I got a beta unit from Uwell specifically for review and no leaking what so ever. Great for the vaper "on the go" who throws it in a back pack or purse. The coils last as expected (longer than Crown 2) and the three fill holes are extremely easy to access and use. Only drawback is the fluid capacity was small. At first look D1 is slightly deceiving as the fluid tank is located with in the outer glass (pyrex inside pyrex) in order to fully seal the tank. If the outer glass is 24mm than the inner tank has to be about 19mm (estimated) and probably has a capacity of about 2.5 or 3ml of juice. I give it 4 stars for the design and that you don't have to worry about the leak issues as with the Crown 2.
Overall, great tank! great flavor, clouds on par with crown 2, coils were easy to change, good air flow and didn't drink juice like other tanks, but small capacity.
Looks like top airflow design only so there is nowhere for the juice to leak from good idea
